The Makers Marks - Ren the Robin

When we were posed the word Renaissance as a leaping off point, rather fitting for a group of needlepoint designers working to bring new styles to the industry, for me the focus became the regrowth & rejuvenation a renaissance brings.

I started researching plant & animal symbolism and found out the Robin is the symbol of rebirth as well as good luck & good fortune; something I want for all my ALBION friends. As we were launching our designs on the build up to Christmas this felt like a great chance to add an ornament to my kit offering.

Along with the classic Tent stitch my design features T stitch, Encroaching Slanted Gobelin and one little Cross stitch as a nod to my own personal design renaissance introducing decorative needlepoint stitches in to my work.
