Emily Peacock and Emma Homent launch ALBION

One of the things I love the most about my life as needlepoint designer are the
relationships I find myself amongst in the needlepoint community.

The needlepoint community is one of great cheerleading, of sharing each others
successes without fear of competition, of raising each other up to help elevate our craft for all to see. A feeling I know both myself and Emily Peacock share.

It’s with this spirit, and a twinge of sadness that the Our Common Thread collective had disbanded, that Emily and I decided we needed to create a home for needlepoint designers across the British Isles. A site not only championing inspiring and original design but housing a resource of needlepoint knowledge to share with the wider public and the press.

We’ll be showcasing a yearly design challenge, launching monthly blog posts and our hope is to eventually open our collective to submissions from other designers.

But first we start as a small cohort of designers . . .
